Dumpling festivals...

Do it really called "dumpling fest"...I m not so sure la..
Hehehe...but in this blog..i goin to talk about my experiences making the dumpling...
Hohoho..it was my 1st time doin this...
But after all..the result was nice...my dad oso praise me for tat..hohoho...
Well..let's start lo....

!st of all, we must choose the nice leaves...Must be big and nice one oo..if not..later our dumpling won haf the nice shape as sells in the market...After this, the leaves mush "washed" properly so that it is clean and safe to use...
** mostly people prefer bamboo leaves or pandan leaves...



Next, prepare the ingredients such as mushroom, garlic, small prawn, peanuts, rice, fresh meat and so on...





Prepare the wok and we are ready to cook the ingredient now...
1st, we goin to put in the mushroom, garlic and so on....Cook until the colour change slightly to brown color and the smell was just nice...



Next, add in the meat, and some soya sauce....


Tada..this is the most important things...5 spice powder....add in and fried 2gether with the ingredient...


Next, Add some water and let the ingredient cook for around 5 to 10 mins...This is to let the meat fully cooked and so tat it can absord the taste of the 5 spice powder...:p

Yeah..Finally...it is done...:p...the last step we need to do is to add some corn flour..and finally...it is done..!!

Wow...can you see the ingredient...the fat fat slices of meat...wow...yummy..!!

Next, the rice is also prepared by a slight fried in the wok just now...

Here is all the ingredient...



1st step of making dumpling, you must make a nice shape of triangular...and the put a spoon of rice in it....our rice is mixed with peanuts as we are hakka ppl...so hakka dumpling mostly will contains peanuts inside...


So 1st layer, rice
2nd layer....the dumpling ingredient cooked just now..
3rd layer, rice again....


Next, wrapped it nicely and tied it nicely....

Steaming process is the next...it is depends on the quantity to set the time....And it is done...!!!

Sematan trip..(part 4)

Settled down our luggage, around 5 pm....we went to the beach...
Me and my sis play like siaw lang on the beach and syiok sendiri there....
Taking some stupid photo and my dad osso help us taking some silly photo..
Happy Happy...~~...I think I haf been years i din not go vacation with my family di...
Hohohoh...

Another snap...Nice....

Now..Its dinner time..Our packages inclusive of one dinner and breakfast and it is buffet style...
After a day of tiring activities...We plan to eat kao kao during our dinner...hohoho...



This is the restaurant....


Rojak and spagetti cabonara....

After taking the photo of this food, i m super duper hungry..
So..the rest i dun wan take liaw...hehehe..
Basically it's onli some ordinary food such as fish arr, chicken arr, kangkung, eggs..and bla bla bla...
Most of them are malay food ...cz..u noe la..malay kampung maa...but nice nice...
The agar agar osso nice....pandan flavour...with santan kao kao...nice nice..:p

Well....the next day, we goin back di..
However, b4 back...v took the chance to kayak...
But quite a lot of ppl "grabbing" for the equipments...(because onli got 2 set lo..)
Such a big resort onli 2 set of equipment...lousy neh..next time should tambah lo..since there is no others activities on the beach...
Bside kayak, you can osso cycling along the kampung road and pass by the padi farm.....
But....too hot la...kenot tahan...a suitable time will be around 5 pm like tat...
You can enjoy the nice sunset scene bside seeing the greenish padi farm....and coconut trees...

Leaving at about 12 pm...then v start our journey back to kuching...
We osso stopped by half way to buy some souvenir and some vege planted by the villagers...
We osso bought some tradisional food such as "peyek" and the rest dunno wat name di...
ahahaha..but the "peyek" is nice...is kind of fried food....with flour.and ikan bilis, peanuts on it..
Additional spice will make it taste better oo..:p

Although it is onli 2 days trips..but..we had a lot of fun....
It was just like an appetizer to me before goin to perhentian...hehehe...
Luckily i din become so dark.....but i hope i osso won become darker when i m back from perhentian soon...heheheh

Tired and sleepy along the journey...hehehe....end my story here lo..c u guys..!!

Sematan trip...(part 3)

Well..continue on my blog...
Finally reached Sematan....The sea was just so blue...the sun so bright....
The weather was hot...but its never affect my good mood...
We rent a chalet at Palm Beach resort....Which onli cost us rm 330 per night...
The chalet can fix 4 person with 4 single bed...
2 at ground floor...and another 2 at upper floor...
Equipped with 2 air-conds and tv as well...however, the tv not clear..mayb too far away from town di..and my 016..totally no services....
Settled our luggage....Next, we going to enjoy the sun and the sea....Yippy...!!!
