Gathering@ Nagomi Shabu Shabu

During my last return to Malaysia on early August,
I attended the gathering with my old uni mates~~
It's been a long long time since our graduation...
And yet we never had the chance to gather and meet each other...
The main reason?
Work...Although most of us working in KL..
But, the chance for us to meet very rare...
For those who work in Malacca, JB, Seremban and even further like Singapore....
We don't even have the chance to meet..~~
However, the place for us to gather also been a main reason bothering us whether we should have our gathering at Malacca, KL or sometime Seremban...

So, this time....
We fix the place at KL....
@ Nagomi Shabu Shabu recommended by Pig EPhang~~

Nagomi Shabu Shabu & Sushi Bar is the name of the restaurant..
It's actually a Japanese style restaurant that serves authentic Japanese cuisine..
But its main focus still on my favorite Shabu Shabu...

They have a lot of choices....
For the soup and the food...
You may make your own combination too~~

The menu~
You may view their menu online too..

And the choices of soup~~
We ordered the Nagomi Soup which is actually the miso soup...
And one spicy miso soup~~
Each of us actually have our own "personal" pot..
So, we tried different kind of soup~~

Shabu - shabu @ Vietnam~~

It's been more than a year since my 1st visit to Hanoi,
Yet, I found that I never write a post regarding Vietnamese food...
Actually, there are a lot of thing for me to write~~
But...a lot..makes me lazy...+.+

Hohoho...
So, this post is about one of the nice restaurant in Hanoi...
With Bak Kut Teh Pot in Shabu Shabu style~~
How good for us Malaysian if we can found this type of our home sweet home food~~
And thanks to the one who bring us there (Also the one who make us so sick during the project period T.T)

We ordered two type of steamboat that day~~
Bak Kut Teh pot and Tomyam pot~~
Honestly, I like both..
Haha...cause both also very very nice~~
Actually there are other type of pot too..
And I heard if it is winter day,
You may found those pot with dog meat, rabbit meat, labi-labi meat ...
Yiakssss~!!! I will never try that!!!

Tada~~ The pot with secret ingredient inside~~
Before it is cooked, the waiter will put in on a gas stove 1st to make it boil...
Then, the pot is transferred to a charcoal stove ( I dunno how to describe that thing)
And actually for the purpose of keep it warm ...

This is the charcoal stove which I mentioned~~

The ingredient we ordered~~
My favorite corn and vege~~

Types of balls...
Hmmmm...chicken meat ball and beef ball actually~~~
I super like the beef ball...
I can describe it as the 暴浆牛肉丸 in Stephen Chow's movie~~
Cause it really 暴浆 in your mouth when you bite it~~

Beef balls~~

Minced pork wrapped with Cabbage~~ Super nice~~

Mushroom ~~

And another type of mushroom~~

Highly recommended~~ Thin beef slices~~ super nice..
Just 10 seconds dips in the hot pot~~
And its ready to melt in your mouth!!

Thin lamb slices..~~ As nice as the beef~~

Our Tomyam Pot~~

With all the ingredients in~!

And the Main character of the night~~ Bak kut Teh pot~~

Vietnamese Beef Noodle

Beside the famous Vietnam local coffee..
Vietnam is also well known by its beef noodle which they named is Pho Bo in Vietnamese..
The pronunciation in Vietnamese of Pho Bo is " Fur Bu"..
In Vietnam, you can hardly find chicken as in Malaysia..
But for beef, almost every food stall is selling beef...
And Pho is a kind of noodle which exactly looks like Ho Fun in Malaysia..
In my opinion, it is exactly taste like Ipoh Ho Fun..
Slices of beef and Pho is absolutely the perfect match..
However, for those who does not prefer beef, you can always replace it with chicken which is known as Ga in Vietnamese.. So, a bowl of Pho Ga is also a famous choice in Vietnam...

Introducing one of the famous Pho restaurant in Vietnam..
Pho 24...Do take your chance to try it when you travel to Vietnam..

In Vietnam, Pho Bo usually served with Yau Char Kuai and some side ingredient such as bean sprout, some unknown leaves which I guess is the Vietnamese herbs, slice of lemon, onion sliced and chili...
You can add in if you prefer...
And the most important things you cannot miss is the two sauces provided on the table..
I named it black and red sauce..
The red one is kind of chili sambal and the black one is kind of Hoisin(seafood) sauce..

A bowl of Pho Bo in Vietnam costs us 45000 VND which is equals to RM 9...
And if you prefer to eat like local people, you can always have your bowl of Pho Bo at the roadside which may only costs you 25000VND ( RM 5)..
But I prefer the restaurant one as it is more hygiene...

This is the MUST TAKE food when you come to Vietnam..
Taste it and will miss the good taste of this PHo Bo~~

~~ big bowl of Pho Bo with side add on ingredient~~

~~S size Yau char Kuai to match with the noodle~~

~Sauces for your choices~

~ Delicious Pho Bo with Yau Char Kuai and Added on ingredients~

~ Yummy yummy~

Dine in @ 旺角茶餐厅

*************************************************************************************

Last Saturday, my sis and I planned a trip to KL just to give Nyian a surprise...
We reached about 10pm with McD in hand...
He do get the surprise and as a reward...
He treat us special lunch @ Wong kok..
One of the famous HK recipes in One U...
It was my second time to have my meal at WongKok...
For the first time, I not really like the food as it does not taste as nice as Kim Gary...
But since there is no other choices that we prefer from the food directory..
We decided to try it again~~
